Assignments for Wednesday, 10/19
Discrete Math:
Today we talked about annuities and learned that an 18 year old can be a millionaire at retirement (age 65) by saving/investing just $78 per month. The key is harnessing the power of time so that interest can compound and acrue. Following our discussion, we took a quiz which is due tomorrow at the start of class. The assignment is 11-4: 5-27 odds, 29-32 all.
Algebra II:
Today we took our Chapter 3 test on systems of equation following a Q&A period. Students desiring some extra credit points to add to their test score should read "Solving Three-Variable Systems of Equations" and example 1 on pages 152-153, then do parts a and b of Quick Check #1. Turn it in at the beginning of class tomorrow.
