o the difference between a sequence and a series,
o the difference between a finite series and an infinite series,
o how to use summation notation to represent a finite series,
o and how to evaluate a finite series.

Discrete Math:
Gambling Days!

• Calculate the expected value for your game.
• Play the game with a partner.
o Keep track of wins/losses, money won/lost. Play enough times (20+) to have a statistically significant set of data.
• Compare actual wins/losses (money won/lost) to your expected value.
• Write a paragraph (or two or three) summarizing all of the above (including the calculation of expected value) and whether the results turned out as your expected.
• Due tomorrow at the end of class!
