Algebra II:
Students worked in small groups to evaluate and categorize equations by attribute: parallel, perpendicular, y-intercept, x-intercept, intersecting a point in space.  Students applied their learning to write equations for a geometric shape (rectangle).

Assignment:
Complete the "Parallel and Perpendicular Lines" problem sheet.
Due at the beginning of class tomorrow.

Statistics:
Students began their study of Sampling and Surveying by identifying what make a sample good or bad.

Today, students reviewed Friday's Quiz Prep 2-2 to reinforce their learnings of the slope-intercept, standard form, and point-slope forms of linear equations.

Chapter 1 tests were returned, grades are posted in PowerSchool.

Students tested their knowledge of equation solving today by taking their first quiz over sections 2-4 of Chapter 1.  Prior to, students solved equations containing absolute values (notes below).

Today we discussed errors in measurement, bias and random error, as well as how to improve reliability.
